Other Projects

ShiTaku -Video Game

Over my time in Japan, I worked with Kyoto University to develop a game based around disaster prevention. You play as an engineer that is tasked with preparing a town for an oncoming tsunami. Each map was procedurally generated and I helped make the menu, intractability controllers, and transportation mechanisms using C# scripts in the Unity Game Engine.

Umbra - Video Game

Led and created by me, Umbra is a 2D, story-driven, action puzzle platformer made in Unity. This was made for the 2025 Convergence Event and I was in charge for the project's management. We made the game during the span of 3 months and had a unique "Umbral System" where the player could shift into a shadow and climb, hang, and jump between walls for unique platforming. I was in charge of making the story, menu, documentation, and managing the team.

MindMap - Web App

This is a spaced-repetition, Spanish Learning app made for the free use of UF students in class. This was my senior project where we would make a free version of a platform like DuoLingo where the instructor could upload their own content, and the app would organize and allow for each student to study all the material at a pace matching their performance. I was in charge of the database's design and documentation for the group.

Leadership

As a student, teammate, or any position that require a group effort, I make it my upmost priority to not only be a member that pulls their own weight, but someone who goes above and beyond. I want every member of my team to be comfotable in what they have to do and feel safe in their work environment. I take it upon myself to organize, optimize, and manage all parts of a project to assure it comes together smoothly

Optimization

Being organized in a project leads to success. In any case, be it individual or in a group, I like to know what needs to be done, when it needs to be done by, and by who. This attention to detail makes it so that I can allocate and plan ahead for any type of task while also finding time for myself in order to have a good work-life balance.

Confidence

I think it's very important to be comfortable in what you hand in, especially in a professional setting. For that reason, I value the fact that everything I hand in is of the best quality and done to the best of my ability. I do not like to hand in sloppy or poorly made work. As long as the quality of the product is as best as I could make it, I am happy.

Dedication

Dedication is the key to success. Procrastination and pitfalls in any work pipeline block progress and I am very comfortable saying that I see my work as priority. I cannot sit still until I have a well-planned idea of how to tackle something and when to begin work on. The very idea of not having something started bothers me so I strive to stay ahead.
